Mostra – Carlo Parolo: l’uomo e l’artista
Dal 22 febbraio al 15 marzo 2014 il Liceo Artistico Frattini e il Museo Bertoni di Varese, ospitano la mostra monografica di Carlo Parolo (1920 – 2008) personaggio eclettico e vivace, si occupò di scenografia, fotografia, e pittura.
Personaggio eclettico e vivace, allo stesso tempo uomo schivo e appartato, Carlo Parolo si forma nel secondo dopoguerra frequentando il corso di scenografia all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera: è per l’appunto dagli anni della formazione che prende avvio la mostra monografica. A fine didattico, ma non solo,saranno esposti album con studi di architetture classiche, talvolta tradotte in quinte teatrali, e di costumi di scena esemplari per il tratto sciolto e deciso. Il teatro, unitamente all’interesse per la fotografia, sono il background di Carlo Parolo dal quale sviluppa una forte attenzione per la persona che diventa ambito d’indagine di tutta la sua produzione. La serie di dipinti genericamente indicati con il termine Maschere nascono proprio per questa assidua e costante indagine sull’uomo.
In mostra vi saranno, inoltre, le opere della serie Incubi: creazioni astratte nate dall’inconscio dell’artista in cui si susseguono forme oniriche e mostruose che prendono vita dalla densa materia pittorica e da polvere d’ossa.
Infine, sarà esposto anche un gruppo d’opere, per lo più veloci disegni e schizzi, dal carattere intimo e religioso, in cui la carne straziata del Cristo è metafora del dolore dell’artista e dell’intero genere umano.
